About Bénir Clothing

I started this brand at 20, during one of the toughest periods of my life.

I was at Manchester United, facing what felt like a career-ending knee injury. I was ruled out for 18 months and told there was a real chance I might never play again. For the first time, I was forced to ask myself a question I’d never considered before, what do I do if football is taken away from me?

With six months left in my recovery, I decided to start a clothing brand.

I thought it would be straightforward. I had a solid following on social media and access to professional footballers who could wear the clothes. But the reality was very different.

In the beginning, I struggled to define the identity of the brand and where it was heading. At the same time, I was doing everything myself, building the website, designing graphics, running email marketing, managing finances, even hand-delivering orders locally.

But through that process, something clicked.

I realised the brand wasn’t separate from me, it was a reflection of everything I stood for.

Faith. Fashion. Football.

That became the foundation.

You see basketball trainers, baseball jerseys and American football culture heavily influencing fashion. But football, the world’s biggest sport, hasn’t been represented in the same way.

So I set out to change that.

To bridge the gap between football culture and fashion, while staying rooted in faith and mindset.

Over time, Benir has grown into more than just clothing. It’s become a community. A space for people who believe in staying grounded, pushing forward, and trusting the journey, even when things don’t go to plan.

We’ve now started a podcast where we sit down with professional footballers to talk about the realities behind the scenes, the setbacks, the pressure, the mistakes, and the lessons. The aim is simple, to give the next generation real insight into what it actually takes, and help them avoid some of the pitfalls we’ve all faced along the way.

Because the journey isn’t perfect, but that’s what makes it real.
